So, I was fiddling around, trying to figure out this Cavs versus Nets game. It wasn’t for anything serious, you know, just kicking it around in my head. Someone brought it up, maybe it was on the TV in the background, I don’t really remember exactly how it started.
First thing I did, well, wasn’t much really. Just kinda thought about both teams off the top of my head. Cavs, yeah, they’ve had some good runs, seem pretty solid most nights. Young guys trying to make noise. Then you got the Nets. Man, talk about a team that’s been… well, they’ve been the Nets. Sometimes they look like world-beaters, other times, not so much. It’s hard to get a read on them sometimes.

So here’s what I did, basically:
- Remembered watching a bit of a recent Cavs game. They looked okay, defense was alright.

- Thought about injuries. Seem to recall hearing someone important might be out for one of them, maybe Cleveland? Or was it Brooklyn? It changes so fast day-to-day, hard to keep track unless it’s your job.
It reminded me of this one time, years ago, I was so sure about a game. Put a twenty down with a buddy. Lost it. Absolutely destroyed. My friend wouldn’t let me forget it for weeks. That’s why I don’t get too worked up about predictions now. It’s just for fun, mostly guesswork.
Anyway, after mulling it over, maybe checking a score update on my phone real quick, I just got this feeling. Didn’t spend hours on it. Just, you know, a gut feeling based on bits and pieces.
My thinking went something like this: Cavs seem a bit more consistent lately, especially if they’re playing at home. Nets can explode, sure, but they can also just fall flat.
