My Afternoon Looking into Cole Roberts Baseball Stuff
So, I decided to spend some time the other day digging into Cole Roberts and his baseball journey. Heard the name mentioned, maybe saw a flash of a highlight somewhere, and it got me curious. You know how it is, sometimes a name just sticks.

First thing I did was just sit down and start searching around online. Typed his name in, added “baseball,” the usual drill. Wanted to get the basics down first.
Finding the Basics
Okay, so I found some stuff pretty quick. Saw he played college ball, Arizona I think? Yeah, University of Arizona. Infielder. Makes sense. Found his dad is Dave Roberts, the Dodgers manager, which was kinda interesting. Always neat to see those family connections in sports.
- Looked up his college stats.
- Tried to find out his current status – drafted? minor leagues?
- Checked for any recent news or updates.
Watching Some Footage
Stats are one thing, but I like to actually see how a guy plays. So, the next step was hunting down some video clips. This took a bit more effort. You don’t always find tons of footage for every single player, especially if they aren’t like, big-league stars right now.

I managed to pull up some college highlights. Watched his swing a few times. Looked pretty smooth, compact. Tried to see his footwork around second base on a few plays. Looked okay, seemed fundamentally sound from the clips I could find. Nothing super flashy, but solid.
Trying to Analyze (Just for Fun)
I wasn’t doing like, a pro scouting report or anything, just watching for myself. Paused a video on his batting stance. Looked comfortable. I even stood up and kinda mimicked it myself there in the living room for a second. Felt alright, balanced. Then I felt a bit silly doing it, but hey, helps get a feel sometimes, right?
The tough part was the video quality on some clips wasn’t great. And you only see the highlights, the good plays. Hard to get a full picture of consistency or how he handles tough plays or pressure situations just from that.
Wrapping Up the Session

Spent maybe an hour or so on this whole thing. Started with just a name, ended up watching clips, looking at stats, even standing up and mimicking a batting stance. Didn’t uncover anything earth-shattering, but it was an interesting way to spend a bit of time. Learned a little about a player I didn’t know much about before. Seems like a solid player working his way up. It’s always kinda cool to follow guys like that, see where their path takes them.
Anyway, that was my little dive into Cole Roberts baseball stuff. Just a regular afternoon tracking down some info and watching some clips. Back to other things now.
