Alright, so we’re talkin’ ’bout this baseball game, right? Oregon State versus Kentucky. Now, I ain’t no fancy sports person, but I can tell ya a thing or two about watchin’ games and guessin’ who’s gonna win. It’s like lookin’ at the chickens in the yard – you can kinda tell which one’s gonna be the feisty one, ya know?
So, they’re sayin’ Oregon State is the favorite. Favorite, huh? That just means folks think they’re gonna win. But let me tell ya, bein’ the favorite don’t mean nothin’ if you don’t play good. I seen plenty of favorites fall flat on their faces, like that one rooster who thought he was the big shot until the old hen pecked him good.
Now, Kentucky, they been doin’ some good things, apparently. Beatin’ records and such. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Means they got some fight in ’em. And fightin’ is important in baseball, just like it’s important in gettin’ the best spot at the market on a Saturday mornin’.
This game, they say it’s on June 8th. That’s a ways off, but time flies faster than a goose headin’ south for the winter. So, these fellas gotta get ready. Gotta practice their swingin’ and their catchin’ and all that.

So, there ya have it. My prediction. Oregon State wins, but it ain’t gonna be easy. Now, don’t go blamin’ me if I’m wrong, okay? I’m just an old woman who likes watchin’ things, whether it’s chickens in the yard or baseball on the TV. And remember, baseball is just a game, just like life. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. The important thing is to keep swingin’.
And one more thing – Go team go! Get them bases loaded and hit that ball so hard it goes right outta the park! That is what they call a dinger? Yessir, that’s what I’d like to see!
