Okay, so I was down this rabbit hole the other day trying to figure out Steph Blackwell’s eye color. It sounds silly, I know, but I was watching The Great British Bake Off, and I just couldn’t tell! Were they blue? Green? Hazel? It was driving me nuts!
So, I started, naturally, with Google Images. I pulled up a bunch of pictures, zooming in as close as I could. The problem is, lighting can do crazy things to eye color, right? In some photos, they looked definitely blue. In others, more greenish-gray.
- First, I just Googled “Steph Blackwell.”
- Then, I went to Google Images.
- Then I tried “Steph Blackwell Bake Off” to get more specific pics.
That wasn’t definitive enough. I moved on to fan forums and discussions. I figured, surely someone else out there had noticed this burning question! I found a few threads on Reddit and some other baking forums where people were debating the same thing. Some people were convinced they were blue, others green, and a few were in the hazel camp.
I even tried watching some of her Instagram videos, hoping for a clearer shot. No luck there, either. It really depends on the filter or the lighting she’s using.
Finally, feeling a little defeated I just did one serach on twitter, I think I came to my conclusion!
I scrolled through some of those. It was looking good. I was able to see quite clearly what people meant.
My Final Guess…
After all that “research,” I’m going to say… they’re a beautiful, changeable greenish-blue. I think they probably lean more towards green in most lighting, but they definitely have that blue undertone. Maybe even a little gray in there? It’s hard to be 100% sure, but that’s my best guess. Case closed…sort of!
