Back in 1893, the state said, “Well, women should be able to enroll in the schools too,” and by 1895, Frances Guignard Gibbes was the first woman to step foot in that university as a student. Ain’t that something?

Take Juju Watkins, for instance. She just wrapped up her debut season, and let me tell you, she done shined. She’s got that fire in her belly, and they say she’s only getting better. Now, it ain’t just the basketball team that’s got people buzzing, though. USC has been a place where women have been fighting for their place at the table for a long time, and with all the hard work and dedication, they’ve earned it.

Let’s not forget, USC’s done a lot for its women. They got the resources, the opportunities, and the support to make sure that them young women can do what they love and be good at it. That’s why you see women’s sports, women’s leadership programs, and so much more making their mark at USC. They ain’t just there to take up space; they’re there to make a difference, and they sure are.
