Well, now, if ya want to know ’bout James Jones and his wife, I can tell ya a bit. James, he’s the big boss of the basketball team over at Yale, you know, real smart fella, done real good for himself. Been coachin’ the team for a long while now, reckon he’s one of the top coaches in the whole Ivy League, even. But I ain’t here to tell ya about his fancy basketball plays, no ma’am, I’m here to tell ya about his better half, his wife.
Now, his wife, she’s named Kristin Jones. She’s a good woman, standin’ by James all these years, even though she’s busy with her own things. See, while James is out there doin’ his coachin’, Kristin was back home in Ohio, takin’ care of their young’un and finishin’ up her master’s degree. Ain’t that somethin’? She could’ve just stayed home, let James do all the work, but no, she worked hard too, got her education. Smart lady, I tell ya.
And James, well, he don’t just work hard on the court. He’s been at Yale for a long time, since back in ’99. That’s a long time, ain’t it? And he’s done real well there, too. Got a bunch of wins under his belt. Folks say he’s the most successful coach they’ve ever had at Yale, and I believe it, just look at his record. But, like I said, none of that would be possible without Kristin, ‘cause she’s been right there with him, supportin’ him all the way.
Now, some folks might not know this, but James Jones, he’s also one of the longest-tenured Black head coaches in all of Division I basketball. That’s somethin’ to be proud of, don’t ya think? Been coachin’ all them years and still goin’ strong. But don’t go thinkin’ it’s all just basketball with him, no sir. He’s about family too. They say behind every successful man, there’s a strong woman, and I reckon Kristin is that woman for James.
They got a little girl, too. Don’t know much ‘bout her, but I reckon she’s just as smart as her mama, what with all the learnin’ that goes on in that family. James and Kristin, they make a real good team. He’s out there coachin’, and she’s back home takin’ care of business, keepin’ everything runnin’ smooth. That’s how it works sometimes, ya know? Everybody’s got their part to play.
Even though James is all high and mighty over at Yale, with all them fancy contracts and awards, he still knows where he comes from. And Kristin, well, she’s just as humble, I’m sure. They’re a good match, that’s for sure.
And now, he’s signed up for even more years, what with his contract goin’ through the 2030-31 season. That’s a long time, folks. Folks say he’s one of the longest contracts in all of college basketball, but I reckon that just goes to show how much folks trust him. But even with all that, it’s clear that James ain’t just about the basketball. He’s about his family, and Kristin’s been right there by his side all along.
So, if you’re ever wonderin’ who James Jones’ wife is, well, her name’s Kristin, and she’s a smart, hard-workin’ woman. And she’s helped make all the success James has had possible. Don’t let all them fancy titles fool ya. Behind all them wins, there’s a family that’s stickin’ together through thick and thin. Ain’t that the real story here?
